⚡️Great to see Ukraine's Steppe Mound / Kurgan Guardians' tireless work recognised in the London Times.
100,000 of these artefacts from the first Indo-European language speakers remain in Ukraine, and they're under mortal danger from philistine "archaeologists" working in sync with property developers.
Ukraine's Yamnaya era burial mounds are evidence from the first Indo-European language speakers on earth. From eastern Ukraine, we can trace this burial model as far as Ireland and as far as Afghanistan: these are the first Indo-European male monarchs
They are buried in pits. Bent knees. Covered in ochre. Under a Mound, which is the location of the afterlife.
Often they are buried with the remains of sacrificed animals, which were sacrificed in the funeral ceremony. These sacrificial acts are part of the contract with Sky Father who was brought to Greece and Rome with these Indo-European language speakers from eastern Ukraine. In Greece ancient Ukraine's Sky Father became Zeus Pater and in Rome Jupiter.
This Indo-European contractual model of sacrifice eventually ends up in christianity as the rite of Holy Communion.
These Mounds are material evidence of the people who created the first Indo-European culture. And these philistines of "archaeologists" attack them with a JCB.
Under Soviet-era law, "archaeologists" in Ukraine can work with property developers to "research" 6,000 year-old mounds. This "research" involves destroying the mound, and then once these protected national monuments are "researched," the developer builds a hotel on the site.
I worked with Ukraine's Mound Guardians in eastern Ukraine. They work to preserve these monuments. Thank you @scribblercat / Catherine Philp at @TheTimes for publicising this issue so sensitively.
Preserving these monuments is an issue of national security for Ukraine. It's important for every one of the four billion people who today speak an Indo-European language.
