English pacifism. No Findlandisation. What Ukraine’s victory looks like. Peak Disinfolklore. Ukraine at Normandy beach. Russia’s annihilation at Vovchansk. Brexit in one photo.
⚡️What Ukraine victory looks like?
I have written extensively on this issue, from the first days of the war when it became clear Russia’s military was too weak to win by force: How this war ends? https://x.com/decodingtrolls/status/1901973556730212820?s=46
From the perspective of one of the few foreigners to live inside Russia’s brutal, brain-hacking, murderous and mad occupation of Luhansk. I worked there as a diplomat 2015-2018. Even I did not anticipate Bucha.
Besides, wars are won on the battlefield. Russia, having lost on the battlefield, as of early March 2022, has ONLY been playing since for people like @BorisJohnson and @nfergus to persuade Ukrainians to accept occupation in exchange for a mythical peace. 2014-2022 we had the Minsk Accords, which it was my job to monitor the implementation of: on the ground. Many nights I documented many thousands of murderous ceasefire violations by Russia in Stanitsia Luhanska. No-one cared in the international community to support Ukraine properly.
So today Ukraine will end Russian economy and provoke the continuation of the 1990 collapse of the Russian empire. With strikes on oil refineries in remote republics Ukraine is initiating the carbon copy process that led to Belarus SSR, Ukraine SSR and Russian SSR dissolve the USSR - so as sovereigns they could enter into gas and oil deals to keep their people alive.
@TimothyDSnyder @SPlokhy and @HrytsakYaroslav explain patiently to @nfergus why Findlandisation/sacrifice of Ukrainian lands will not yield peace:
September 13, 2025, Victor Pinchuk Foundation and Yalta European Strategy (YES) held a discussion "What Will Historians Consider a Ukrainian Victory?"
⚡️No Finlandisation: The Danger of Boris Johnsons
Johnson tells @KyivIndependent of the ‘impossibility’ of Ukraine expelling Russia from 100% of Ukraine. Johnson, Ukraine’s false friend, speaks of how Ukraine needs foreign forces to keep the peace. This would reward Russia for its crimes and give it time and resources to execute new crimes against us.
I can’t work out whether Johnson’s concern-trolling about Ukraine’s suffering is motivated by his lazy mind or Russian oligarch whose English media empire got Johnson into office. Johnson, like Donald, appears to be working to benefit Russian oligarchs in their campaign to persuade Putler to stop the war by giving him permanently a chunk of Ukraine.
No ‘Finlandisation’ in Ukraine.
When Russia loses wars, as in Finland and in Ukraine, Russia, as Germany and Japan experienced, must lose EVERYTHING and reform. Or, disappear, like the USSR.
⚡️Prosthetic Memories
’In the context of Polish politics of memory reveals how prosthetic memory can be deceptive and manipulative in its use of immersive presence… Moreover, I would argue that VR does not stop at generating ‘prosthetic memories;’ …it also extends to the creation of ‘prosthetic perspectives’ and ‘prosthetic emotions.’ By providing a sensory-rich and immersive experience, VR plays a pivotal role in shaping how people approach and make sense of past and current events…”
This is another reason why the Code of Positive Trolls
can help us in the fly distinguish between Disinfolklore, and Coubter Disinfolklore.
Proofing any linguistic, auditory, or visual memes, whether or not emanating from Virtual Reality against these six criteria (Is the energy/Mana in these memes: Generous, Ethically disciplined, Patient, Joyous Perseverance, Focussed, Wise) helps us avoid being negatively trolled.
⚡️Ruination of Ruschia: Mesmerising Watch!
Igor Lipsits, an expert on the Russian economy:

“I'm observing a stunning picture of the suicide of the Russian economy… a mesmerising picture. Watching it is horrifyingly interesting…
“Is it a reversible process?”
“At this point, it's probably not. One more time: a country is first of all its people.
“Nobody in the world ever accomplished that without international cooperation. Not a single country with closed borders can do it.
“It can only become a North Korea that produces missiles. That's all it can become.”
As a diplomat in Ukraine 2015-2022, I met hundreds of elected leaders of recently empowered village councils throughout now occupied parts of eastern Ukraine. These communities, under Ukraine’s revolutionary decentralization reforms suddenly got the know-how, resources (they keep 50% of locally raised taxes), and legal powers to develop their own communities the way they choose to, without Kyiv overly interfering.
The plan was to have local self-governance structures that reflect Ukraine’s history of community self-governance, and to build resilience to occupation.
I asked one leader in 2019 if the process was reversible.
“Only if the Ruschism’s occupied our land.”
Now, ironically the process of reversing Ukraine’s democratic reforms is the complete destruction of the Ruschian economy. Now, the process Ruschia is imposing on Ukrainians is huge.
But the payoff for Ukrainians - destruction of the Ruschist state and the collapse of the Ruschist empire posing as a ‘federation’ - will bring joy and security to Ukrainians for centuries to come.
P.S. note to Brexiteers: “Nobody in the world ever accomplished that without international cooperation. Not a single country with closed borders can do it.”
⚡️Ukraine arrives at Normandy beach.
I was so proud to see Ukraine afforded the respect all great European peoples who fought Nazi’ism in Europe deserve.
Ukraine underwent a double occupation in WWII.
So much so that as the Ukrainian Jewish population of Kyiv queued up on the way to being holocausted with bullets at Baba Yar…
“The older men used to tell stories about the Germans in Ukraine in 1918; how they hadn't touched the Jews then, but on the contrary had treated them very decently, because their language was very similar and so forth . . .
The old men used to say:
'There are all sorts of Germans, but on the whole they are cultured, decent people; not your barbaric Russia, but
Europe, with a European respect for order.'”
Ukraine, unlike Barbaric Ruschia, now taking its rightful place, on the basis of equality and parity of esteem, among the great European peoples who, in the post-WWII legal order, managed against all odds to become sovereign, secure and prosperous nation states.
⚡️Easy to be a pacifist when you got nukes.
English pacifists need to update their algorithm: US provided and controlled nukes are no good when the US president’s in bed with China and Russia.
I was a pacifist too (as was Ukraine) until I noticed pacifism wasn’t strong enough to prevent Russia kidnapping your children, eviscerating your towns and villages and colonising our minds with structure-altering Disinfolklore.
Thankfully France maintained its independent capability in the manufacture of fighter jets, artillery systems, missiles, nuclear weapons, and the rest. Harsh lesson for Europe, Taiwan, Japan and South Korea: we’re on our own.
⚡️Appeasement of Ruschia: The Cost.
Nearly one million dead in Ukraine since 24 Feb 2022.
Ruschia attempts to murder three NATO leaders: Denmark, Greece, and Slovakia.
Daily, Ukrainians are targeted by Ruschia inside the EU.
Ruschist armed attacks on health systems IT systems: Ireland, England, Spain, Germany,…
Ruschia destroys ammo factories: Bulgaria, Czechia, England, Germany,…
Immigration Attacks which reflexively control England into Brexit, far right leaders’ elections in Hungary, Slovakia, Poland (law and Justice),… and kill Polish soldiers.
Multiple armed attacks by missile and armed drone on Poland, Romania, Moldova,…
Interference in every democratic election in every EU state since 2012, at least,…
Trillions in unnecessary expenditure due to Ruschia’s unprovoked attack on Ukraine and all our countries,…
⚡️Brexit in Two Photos

With elected leaders of the two Great Powers who helped defeat Nazi’ism, the unelected ex- English PM Cameron.
Who, catastrophically, called the Brexit Referendum to leave the EU that was founded to ensure there was never another war in Europe.
Cameron had to be put in the only 100% appointed legislature - England’s house of so-called lords - in the free world so as to give him the foreign minister post.
And so he could avoid prosecution for collusion in a scheme that defrauded investors of billions (google: Greenshill scandal).
All because the lying unelected English PM did a runner back to England for a TV interview. To deny he lied last week in a debate on TV.
Only the chaos wrought by Brexit could have led to a US Green Card-holding guy like Sunak leading a former Great Power.
⚡️Ruschia’s annihilation in Vovchansk.
Only place Ruschist forces occupy in Vovchansk (Kharkhiv oblast) is the hospital. Hear that @Amnesty: yes, Ruschia and its client Hamas occupy hospitals.
Ruschia planned to take Kharkhiv city in two days. Now, within a week or two it will be permanently expelled from all of Kharkhiv oblast.
You see, Ruschia’s Never Been a Great Power.
Even in 1854, The Economist said we needed to go to war with Ruschia - “for the sake of information.”
“A YEAR ago we ventured to hint that it might be worth while for Europe to go to war with Russia for the sake of information-in order to ascertain, that is, whether her strength was that of the bully or the giant-whether she was really entitled to dietate and domineer as she habitually did-whether, in a word, she was mighty in virtue of her own inherent force, or only in virtue of the iguorant timidity of her foes and rivals. We pointed out several notable sources of weakness in her insitutions; we directed attention to the fact that nearly all her great acquisitions had been secured not by fighting but by, bullying and intriguing; that diplomacy and not war had always been her favourite weapon; that she kept up such an enormous army on paper that all secondary States had arrived at the conclusion that resistance to her will was hopeless, but that in general she had carefully abstained from coming into actual armed collision with any first-rate Power…”
Ruschia has always been a Potemkin power. And we have forgotten how true this is. And so has Ruschia, which is Ukraine’s luck.
⚡️Peak Disinfolklore
Trump trolled by troll into hope his 34 criminal convictions will be vacated.
