For me, it's clear: Ancient Ukrainians signify Yamnaya/Sredni Stog fusion that birthed the first Indo-European language, culture, form of kingship, etc before 2,500 BC. Later returnees (eg Scythians, Greek colonists) we're genetic or cultural descendants of Ancient Ukrainians.
Dugin gets this but tries to steamroll through it: From Donets to Dnieper rivers are the homeland from which ALL Indo-European languages, religions, patriarchal mode of social org, tripartite castes, drive for colonization, & divinely inspired praise poetry evolved.
Comparative Mythology, Comparative Linguistics and Comparative Archaeology rule out such a conclusion as you've just suggested. Though Dugin would support you. Giumbetas proposed the Steppe Hypothesis fifty years ago. It's now proven beyond all reasonable doubt.
